Julie is the personal stylist behind Signature Style Consultancy.
She trained at Aston + Hayes, London’s leading image training centre, and has studied at the London College of Fashion, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, and Istituto Marangoni, the Italian Fashion School.
Her career background is in international business, and after spending 25 years in the insurance industry, she finally decided that the time had come to take her life in a much more creative direction, and to channel her love of clothes into a full time career as a stylist.
As well as working with her private clients, she also has experience in the commercial sector, having been part of the styling team at London’s High Street Fashion Awards and the annual Breast Cancer Care Fashion Show at The Dorchester in Mayfair.
In 2010 a chance phone call gave her the opportunity to extend her fashion career into retail, and leaving her London life behind her, she spent the next five and a half years combining her styling work with her new role as the owner and manager of a contemporary designer resale boutique in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
Julie is a founding member of ASIP, the Association of Stylists and Image Professionals, and was shortlisted by the International Federation of Image Consultants as a finalist at their inaugural Spirit of Inspiration Awards.
In 2014 she was delighted to be part of the judging panel at the UK Young Fashion Designer of the Year Competition, and also started writing for the Huffington Post as one of their bloggers.
She writes a regular fashion column for High St magazine and is the Fashion Editorial Assistant for luxury fashion e-commerce entrepreneur Carmen Busquets’ official site CarmenBusquets.com. She also works for several luxury fashion brands, including Temperley London, as a freelance copywriter.
